O.P.R Memorial Arts & Science College for Women, with its distinctive feature – a College for the Women, by the Women, and of the Women – cultivates woman learners as powerful decision makers and capacity builders to shine as potential global leaders.

The aim and objective of this College is to give quality education, excellent coaching in curricular, extra-curricular and co-curricular activities to girls, so as to infuse self-confidence and courage in the minds of young girls who are the future makers of our country. The College aims at producing talented young women in all spheres.

The present Education System places greater responsibility on teachers: to educate, train and guarantee job for the students. Women as teachers can reveal a lot of facts and help determine their influence on education. In an excellent working condition, woman teachers can contribute to the development of girl-education and the community. Teachers, especially, woman teachers are important catalysts for women empowerment- in building a positive self-image for girls, promoting self-awareness, effectiveness and strengthening them to fight for their justice. Women as teachers can create in young learners an appetite for bringing about positive change in all areas.

O.P.R Memorial Arts & Science College for Women has aspired to provide academic excellence in a vibrant environment that helps one experience life abundantly. This has promoted the development of personal and intellectual growth in tandem and has helped students combine serving others as well as meeting personal ambition. As a college we are committed to providing a love for learning, promoting critical and ethical reflection and developing sensitivity towards a sustainable environment.

Besides imparting the domain knowledge and different skill sets, the faculty play meaty role in nurturing the holistic personality of our students. I am confident that becoming one of the top-notch College at the State level is not a far-off dream, because of the strong support of the intellectually resourceful faculty members and the 100% co-operation of our dear parents and other stakeholders, who encourage us with their valuable and constructive suggestions.
